Affiliate marketing is an internet-based marketing practice whereby a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer created through the the affiliate's marketing efforts.

Affiliate marketing combines with other internet marketing methods because affiliates often use regular advertising methods such as organic search engine optimisation (SEO), paid search engine marketing (e.g. Google AdWords) and email marketing. Additional techniques such as publishing reviews and articles about products or services are also common.
